Bhotenamlang is about 20 km from Melamchi. People in the community belong to Tamang ethnicity. The village is situated on the top of the hill range. The estimated population of the village is 3000. There are 12 teachers teaching in the school. Ncell, Smart Cell and CDMA services are available in the area.
Shree Batase Secondary School, established in 2047 BS, is located in Melamchi of Sindhupalchowk district of Nepal. The community compromises 99% of Tamang and 1% of Dalit families. With the majority of Tamang families, there is no discrimination in the community based on the ethnic groups. After the massive earthquake, the school building was destroyed so students were taught in temporary classes. There were 256 students in the academic year 2075-2076 BS. Hence, recently, CARITAS organization constructed a building for the school with well-equipped classrooms. The new building also consists of a hostel for the students. However, the science lab, computer lab and library are in the same room. Bhotang is about 25 Km from Melamchi. Hylmo, Tamang and Dalit families live in the community. Bhotang is also the route for famous religious and tourism destination “Panch Pokhari”. Bhotang Secondary School is the only Secondary school in the entire VDC. The total population of the village is 4500. There are 11 teachers in total. There is no facility of library or Science lab.
