Thangpal Secondary School

Thangpal Valley Secondary School stands as a merger of educational legacy, uniting four former schools—Shree Raithane Ma Vi, Chilaune Ma Vi, Taltuleshwori Aa Vi, and Satkanya Aa Vi—in Pachpokhari Thangpal Municipality, ward number 4. Nestled near Raithane Pokhari, it's a two-hour bus journey from Melamchi, offering comprehensive education from Early Childhood Development (ECD) to Grade 12.

With 821 students (425 males, 396 females) enrolled in 2080, it's the area's largest school, supported by an enthusiastic team of 40 dedicated teachers. The surrounding community predominantly comprises the Tamang community, with a mix of Chettri and other castes residing in Thangpalkot, ward number 4, practicing Hinduism, Buddhism, and Christianity.

Agriculture, notably Black Cardamom farming, sustains the region, while many families engage in foreign employment, contributing to progressive economic and social conditions. As part of Nepal's Big School Program, our institution boasts five well-furnished ADB-funded buildings, housing essential facilities like computer, science, and mathematics laboratories, a library, playground, school bus, health facilities, and ample toilets.

Despite these amenities, our school faces challenges due to its remote location, especially during rainy seasons, restricting mobility. While the school bus mitigates the 2-hour walk for some students, weather conditions pose uncertainties.

Thangpal Valley Secondary School remains committed to providing quality education despite geographical challenges, serving as a beacon of learning and empowerment in the Bagmati Province, nurturing young minds, and fostering a brighter future despite the obstacles posed by nature's whims.
