Shree Satkanyamati Secondary School

Shree Satkanyamati Secondary School, a venerable institution established in 2018 BS (1961 AD), stands as a testament to educational excellence in the Sindhupalchowk district of Bagmati province. Situated at the juncture of Bhotenamlang and Bhotang, the school holds a pivotal place in the local landscape.

The village surrounding the school thrives on subsistence farming, cultivating a variety of crops including rice, wheat, maize, millet, and barley. While rooted in agriculture, the allure of foreign employment in Gulf Countries and India has gradually emerged as an appealing option for the villagers.

In the academic year of 2079 BS, our school boasted a vibrant community of 513 students, encompassing 263 girls and 250 boys. The majority, around 99%, belong to the Tamang indigenous community, with a representation from Dalit, Newar, Brahmin, and other backgrounds. Our institution provides comprehensive education from Early Childhood Development (ECD) up to Grade 10, accommodating students aged 3 to 16 years.

Equipped with well-furnished classrooms boasting desks, benches, and whiteboards, our 14 dedicated teachers ensure a nurturing learning environment. Additionally, specialized teachers cater to students in classes 1, 2, and 3, facilitating a holistic learning experience.

To support academic pursuits, our school offers essential facilities including a registered nurse, a commendable library, a science lab, and a computer lab. These resources complement our commitment to providing a well-rounded education for our students.

Shree Satkanyamati Secondary School stands as a beacon of learning, enriching young minds and fostering growth in the heart of this culturally vibrant and agriculturally rich region.
