Education: Bachelor’s of Agricultural Engineering, Eastern Regional Campus
Until grade 6, I was considered a poor student. I used to spend most of my time playing with my friends. Gradually, I was introduced to a teacher who gave me extra classes along with my brother. He was concerned about my studies. That changed my education trajectory. I passed my secondary level exams as the second boy in my class, which I regard as my first achievement of life.
While I was doing my Bachelor’s, I used to teach students which helped me become independent financially. While teaching the young students, I could feel that my confidence level and ability to overcome challenges were improving. I gradually found that I was good with mentoring and guiding people. Along with academics, I was also appointed as the Secretary of Nepal Engineering Students’ Society. With the academics and extracurricular activities, I now want to pursue a career in the education sector or become an entrepreneur later. Before that, I wanted to learn and grow myself. Teach For Nepal Fellowship is a platform for me to see if as a teacher, I can prove to be a better mentor, role model, and guide. It is also an excellent opportunity for me to guide young minds towards their intended goals.
