Education: Bachelor’s in Public Health, LA Grandee International College
I was born in Kathmandu and brought up in Pokhara. I love traveling to new places, tasting local food and studying the lifestyle and culture. As a child, I was curious in nature. I was naughty as well and I used to do mischievous things. I remember I used to have a screwdriver with which I used to open everything that had a screw. I am close to both my parents and share my feelings with them. I am especially close to my mother who is always there to inspire and motivate me, whereas, my father is the one who I will always look up to as he has taught me not to be afraid of struggles.
If a person has good education, I believe he/she can tackle all carious problems. Education provides the wisdom to distinguish between right and wrong, and also provide with confidence. I remember my parents struggled to a lot education. They did not want to send me to public school. I always wondered why they did for me. Later did I came to know that public schools were not viewed as providing quality education by society.
I heard about TFN when I was in college. I was attracted by the question, "What if your first job was changing the nation?" I did research and was really inspired by TFN. For me TFN Fellowship is an opportunity to understand the society. I will identify, understand and prioritize the problems of the community which are affecting children education and I will solve them. I will make the community aware that education is important for their children. I will be a role model to the student and always guide them for their future. I will use various teaching techniques through which students will understand easily and build faith in themselves and education.
