I was born and raised in Bhaktapur, a culturally rich city. I used to really enjoy the alleys of Bhaktapur and miss times spent there with my childhood friends. I love dancing, trying out various cuisines and exploring places with my my friends and sister was really an average student at school. Rote memorization was used as the teaching method butI was very weak at memorizing things. This really bothered me as my interest in the studies lowered because of this. However, later in class 9 when I started feeling the urgency for better performance, I started to concentrate even more and got better in studies.

With time, for my career, I realized that I am a people person and that working in closed room in front of a computer was not going to fulfill me. This led me to leave my job. I had always dreamed of becoming a School Principal and working with children as I wanted to contribute in the education. So, I chose TFN as the first step in learning more about children, school system and the bigger education system. I can already see I will grow into a better person through this Fellowship.

As a Mathematics Fellow, I want my students to realize that Mathematics is not a scary subject I want to make Mathematics as interesting as possible. I was not good at Mathematics in school days but after class 9, it changed for me and I started enjoying. My own perspective towards Mathematics could be a story to get my students be more interested in the subject. I hope that I will truly be able to inspire my students and hope to serve as a role model for them through this Fellowship.
