Shree Prabhat Shantipura Secondary School, locally referred to as Badagaun school, was established in the year 2012 BS. The school is Besisahar which is located 175.8km away from the capital Kathmandu, however, the school is half an hour walk from Besisahar. In order to reach the school, one must walk straight along the way from Manage Chautara to Besisahar until you reach the first suspension bridge at the right side of the road. Then, after crossing the bridge take a left turn towards the road leading straight to the school. Besisahar Belauti Bisauna is one of the recognized landmarks where about 50% of Gurung, 30% of Dalit, and 20% of Brahmin families reside in the community.

Furthermore, the school is timely funded by the community, however, it was founded by Purna Bahadur Gurung in the name of his two wives Prabha and Shanti. He combined the names of his wives and named the school as Prabhat Shantipura school. The school has facilities such as science and computer laboratories for its students but they are not maintained properly.

Also, since the school is near Besisahar, students prefer to go to private schools nearby or in the closest town -Khudi which is one of the challenges. for the school. As a result, there is a smaller number of students currently studying in this school. Even though, the majority of the families in the community comprise the Gurungs but the school only facilitates a smaller number of Gurung students. One of the main reasons behind it is that the Gurungs come from well-to-do families who can afford to send their children to cities like Kathmandu, Pokhara and so on for their studies. Hence, the total number of students is less than 100 because the students belonging to the Dalit families only study in the school.
