Most of the students of Siddhi Mangal Higher Secondary School come from families that have agriculture and foreign employment as their major source of livelihood. Some people are engaged in brick kiln and labor work. When the school was established in 2012 BS (1955 AD), there were no schools in the area. The residents, particularly Nemkul (one of the major castes of Siddhiphur), established the school and it initially served up to primary level only.

Currently, 349 students (150 boys and 199 girls) are enrolled in ECD to Grade 12. TFN Fellows have been teaching here since 2013 AD and current fellows are Rojee Maharjan and Sagendra Man Shrestha. In 2014 AD’s SLC, the Pass Percentage was 63.64%. 29 out of 311 students dropped out last year. A total of 27 teachers are involved at the school including 2 TFN Fellows. Out of these, 17 are permanent teachers, 4 temporary, 2 Relief Quota teachers and 2 for ECD. The school gets its funding from DDC and DEO. Drinking water and toilet facilities are good in the locality. Electricity is available from national grid.
