Shree Deep Narayan Adarsha 1

Shree Deep Narayan Adarsha 2

According to the locals of the community, Shree Deep Narayan Adarsh school is very prestigious because the founder of the school Mr. Deep Narayan was awarded with "Gorkha Dakshin Bahu Takma” by Late King Birendra Bir Bikram Shah because Mr. Narayan realized that the community could only flourish through education. The school was established in 2028 BS and in the academic year, 2075 - 2076 BS, there were a total of 1,018 students studying in the school. The school represents teamwork and engagement as its core value which can be seen among the staff members and teachers. All the teachers share their ideas and implications for the sustainable progress and prosperity of the students and the school.

The school has various facilities for its students such as computer lab, however, due to the lack of trained personnel the laboratory is not functioned and utilized properly. Moreover, science and mathematics laboratories are also being constructed for the students. However, one of the major challenges faced by the school to build such laboratories and complete with well-equipped resource materials is lack of sponsorship. Due to this, the conditions of the toilets are not maintained and water supply in the washrooms are not managed. Also, the school area of 11 bighas is not utilized for other development of the students because the playground is very small and most of the land is used by the community.

Furthermore, people following different religion and ethnic groups live in the community so there is discrimination among the people in the community on the basis of their race and religion. The impact of such biases is also seen among students in the school because there is prevalence of groupism on the basis of each others’ caste, religion and race. The guardians of the students are not convinced about the importance of education in the long run because of the lack of awareness. This has been one of the major challenges to address for our Fellows but are still working continuously.
