Multicultural community surrounded by the hills, Dhodeni Basic School lies in the heart of Lamjung. If you are coming from Kathmandu, get off at Udipur and take a bus to Pirekhola which leaves every day at 2 PM. After you reach Pirekhola, you need to hike for about 30 minutes to reach this school. School lies in between mixed community which includes Gurung, Giri, few Newars and B.K., where the majority of the people are Hindus. Unless any weather issues, network connection works fine here but based on the level of rainfall, frequent power cuts are everyday deeds. Located near Upper Marshyangdi hydropower dam, Mahendra Dev School is placed in Talanche Rural Municipality in Bhulbhule 5. It is one and a half hours away from the nearest city named Besisahar. A local jeep and buses are frequently available if you want to reach there. The community comprises 80% of Gurung and Tamang families, about 12% Dalit families, 6% Brahmin and Chettri families and about 2% Newari. Mahendra Dev School, established in 1956 AD, currently has around 268 students from grades 1 to 10. This public school has a good track record when it comes to student's results. Shree Prem Milan Secondary School is located in Chhapa, Taghring, Marshyangdi Rural Municipality. The village is two hours away from Besisahar in a local jeep that you can find it in Besisahar, Lamjung. Established in 2011 BS, currently, it has around 200 students from grades 1 to 10. The school is equipped with a small playground, a computer, and a science lab and a building that was recently completed in the year 2019. The physical infrastructure is adequate for the classrooms however there are inadequate materials for science labs and sports. The community is majorly composed of a mixture of Gurung, Chettri, and Bishwokarma. The community is friendly but shy. The community is close to the trekking route to Manag and falls under Annapurna Conservation Area.

Shree Chaitanyodaya Satya Secondary School was established in the year 2051 B.S. At present the school has a total of 270 students enrolled in the current academic year. The school was established by the donation of land and others needed support from the local communities. The school is located at a distance of about 169 km from the capital Kathmandu. Once you reach Besisahar you can get hold of local jeeps which will take you to Udipur. From there it would be the most convenient to rent a jeep or hail the Chotekhola bus which reaches there at 1 pm and you can get off at the Sera Nautha stop. That is the final stop before the school location. Another well-known location in the area is the Dordi hydropower Station. This is the only secondary school in Dordi, where students from nearby places like Sandikhola and Saranchowk come to study after completion of their basic levels. Located in Dordi, Lapsibot, the school neighbors the Dordi River along with the Chote Khola. The School is looked after by principal Roshan Gurung along with his staff who look after seventy -two students. Students of this school primarily belong to Tamang, Gurung and Dalit ethnicities. The village is surrounded by 3-4 hydropower yet the village is still under the dark, where the electricity facilities hasn't arrived yet. The uniqueness about the school is that the school is run by female teachers. There are around 12 female and 3 male teachers in this school.

The school is located in Hile Taxar, Majhgaun. It is larger than most schools in Dordi in terms of infrastructure, but the number of students in school is comparatively lower which makes management team a gigantic task for its management. Som Prasad Shreshtha, Khumbi Maya Gurung and Krishna Prasad Gurung serve as the school’s Head Teacher, Assistant Head Teacher, and School Management Committee Chairman respectively. In around 45 minutes to an hour-long walk, there is a famous old bazaar named as Tilahr. The settlement is considered as one of the oldest villages. Tilar is considered a hub for tourists, NGOs and INGO's, schools and Banks. It is right above Mid-Marshyangi Hydropower Station.
