According to the locals of the community, Shree Deep Narayan Adarsh school is very prestigious because the founder of the school Mr. Deep Narayan was awarded with "Gorkha Dakshin Bahu Takma” by Late King Birendra Bir Bikram Shah because Mr. Narayan realized that the community could only flourish through education. The school was established in 2028 BS and in the academic year, 2075 - 2076 BS, there were a total of 1,018 students studying in the school. Gyan Batika school is one of the first schools of Subarnapur. Established in 2046 B.S.(1990 A.D.), this school now has more than 500 students enrolled. The students belong to diverse ethnicities like Tamang, Newar, Brahmin, Tharu, and Yadav. With the majority of the students being females, the school stands against the deep-rooted patriarchy prevailing in society. One of the pressing challenges to school administration has been students bunking classes. Only 60% of the students getting admission are present during the classes, the rest of the students only appear to give their exams. Absenteeism is a major problem in this school. The infrastructure of the school is good with a canteen, computer lab, library and a Saraswoti temple on this school's premises. With more than 1300 students studying from playgroup to grade 12, Nepal Rastriya Secondary School is one of the largest schools in the area. The students are mostly Tharus and Yadavs. Most of the students speak Bhojpuri as their mother tongue, with little knowledge about Nepali and English language. The students in grades 9 and 10 still find it hard to form a correct sentence in the English language. The students of Nepal Rastriya Secondary School belong to an agricultural background and their economic condition is very poor but this does not stop the children from going to school and learning. The students travel 5-7 km every day to reach the school. Some of the students do not have shoes or backpacks. They only have a shirt to wear during the harsh winter months but these factors have not affected their attendance in the classrooms. Shree Nepal National Higher Secondary School, Nichuta, located in the metropolitan city of Birgunj, was established in the year 2021 BS. The people in the community live harmoniously despite the heterogeneity of religions followed since 65% of people follow Hinduism while the others follow Islam. Being nearby the Birgunj bazaar, the total number of students was more than 1000 in the academic year 2075 – 2076 BS and is estimated to increase next year as well.
