Shree Dhodeni Basic School is located in the heart of Lamjung district of Nepal where people of various races reside including Gurung, Giri, Newar, and Biswakarma. The community is a harmonious place with no sort of racial and gender discrimination. The people are very welcoming and warm-hearted. However, the community has a major issue of the network connection during heavy rainfall, and power cut is most prevalent.

One of the most fascinating facts about this school is that there are a greater number of girls than boys studying in the school. The girls are extremely bold, confident and opinionated because they are not confined by the rules of acting like a girl either at their school or at their houses. The opportunities provided by the school is also equal for all of their students be it a girl or a boy.

The construction of new buildings at the school premises have been completed successfully at the end of the year 2019. There are all sorts of well-organized infrastructures present for the students such as the classrooms, library, and toilets. But as the library is the foundation of learning and sharing knowledge outside the textbooks through nonfiction and fiction books or other creations, it just has a limited number of books and is not much utilized by the students.
