Hailing from the vibrant village of Salyantar in Dhading's Tripurasundari rural municipality, my journey is a testament to perseverance and dedication. After my family relocated to Kathmandu, I embraced the bustling city while carrying with me the values and resilience rooted in my village upbringing. As the eldest sibling in a family of four, I witnessed firsthand the tireless efforts of my mother, a shopkeeper who completed her SLC in 2058 BS. Her hard work and determination have always inspired me. My academic journey took a significant turn when I was honored as the Best Girl of the Year in Class 7, an achievement that fueled my commitment to education.

However, life’s challenges became more apparent during the SLC year of 2072 when a devastating earthquake forced us to relocate. This upheaval resulted in a grueling daily commute, with early mornings and crowded microbuses becoming a routine. Despite these obstacles, I remained steadfast in my commitment to education, never missing a class.

These experiences have ingrained in me a profound understanding of the value of education, even in the face of adversity. They have also ignited a passion for teaching and a desire to inspire others. My journey through education has shown me that every challenge is an opportunity for growth, and I am determined to help students overcome their own obstacles.

Discovering Teach For Nepal’s mission resonated deeply with me. The opportunity to contribute to quality education in remote areas and work closely with diverse communities aligns perfectly with my aspirations. Having participated in the Walkathon 2022 and volunteered for Walkathon 2023, I have seen firsthand the impact Teach For Nepal has on students and communities. This solidified my desire to join the Fellowship.

I am eager to dedicate two years to making a difference, drawing from my own experiences to inspire and support students. I believe that every child deserves access to quality education, and with Teach For Nepal, I am committed to contributing to this vital cause. My journey is a testament to overcoming challenges, and I am ready to use my experiences to shape a brighter future for Nepal's youth.
