Education: Bachelor's of Science, Digvijay Nath PG College, Gorakhpur, India

Sagar was born in a hilly village in Syangja, but grew up largely in Gorakhpur, India, in a railway colony. The early years were hard, but his family and the railway colony itself were a world of diversity and shared life where children from every background played and studied together without walls between them. Later in life, when he faced a serious family crisis, he had difficulty focusing on his studies. It was his mathematics teacher who steadied him, teaching him to manage his emotions, stay grateful, keep going, and Sagar came back from that period to score full marks in the subject, understanding for the first time, from the inside, what a teacher who genuinely cares can do for a student who is breaking. He joined the Teach For Nepal Fellowship, drawn to the idea of working at the basic level where real change starts. He hopes the Fellowship will develop him into a responsible and impactful individual through practical barefoot experiences and community engagement. The understanding of real social issues and developing a vision for change can bring meaningful impact and help his journey to create larger change through international organizations in the future.

Let's stay in touch.
