Both my parents didn’t get to study in their childhood due to economic constraints in their families. So, both of them knew the value of education. As they faced many problems in their childhood and couldn’t fulfill most of their wishes, they wanted to get those wishes fulfilled through us; me and my two siblings.

Unfortunately, my mother met with an accident when I was in school. After spending 13 days in a hospital she left us forever. Our happy world turned upside down. But we had to move on. Despite financial difficulties, my father always made sure my siblings and I had good education. It was he who encouraged me to join BBA, something that I always wanted to pursue. When I look back at my undergrad days, I feel very proud. Those 4 years gave me chances to build a lot of confidence in me. Those years gave me confidence to speak up. The girl who used to feel shy to speak or raise her voice now can give a speech in public in front of many people. Most importantly, my undergrad life gave me so many teachers whom I look up to. They changed my perception towards "teaching as a profession". They were so loving and caring that they made me realize the role a teacher plays in a student’s life.

Upon completion of BBA, my relatives wanted me to either work in a corporate house or go abroad. But I wanted to do something different which I would enjoy doing and which would give me satisfaction. I even took IELTS but I didn't feel like going abroad leaving my dad here. In spite of all the pressures from family and relatives, I wanted do something different and came across TFN.

After few days I was called up for the interview. TFN felt like home from the very start; while speaking with Kamal Sapkota Ma'am, I didn’t feel like I was in an interview. I felt like I was talking with my elder sister. As I got selected, my happiness knew no bounds.

Now my journey with TFN begins as a Fellow. I don’t know where this journey will take me, nor do I have a clear idea of what the challenges I will have to face. I know I will fall down on the way but I know how to stand up and walk again because I know "Hidne Manche Ladcha."
