Education: Bachelor's in Civil Engineering, Pulchowk Campus, Institute of Engineering, Tribhuvan University

If it weren't for my father's decision to move to Kathmandu from the small village of Bhadaure in Okhaldhunga and his determination to provide quality education for his children, I wouldn't be an engineer today. While I am not saying that students from rural areas aren't educated, it would be foolish to ignore the disparity in the quality of education between urban and rural areas. In my previous profession, I was involved in tasks such as writing reports and designing buildings. However, I did not find this work impactful. Upon reflection, I decided to bring about a more meaningful change in society. What better way to achieve this than by joining an organization like Teach For Nepal? I wholeheartedly agree with TFN's mission of ending educational inequity and ensuring that all children in Nepal have access to quality education. My long-term goal is to work as a policy maker for the Ministry of Education. Working with TFN provides me with the opportunity to develop a deep understanding of the rural educational context. Additionally, it serves as an excellent platform to enhance my leadership skills, expand my professional network, and make a significant impact on the lives of many children.

Let's stay in touch.
