Sagar was born in a hilly village in Syangja, but grew up largely in Gorakhpur, India, in a railway colony. The early years were hard, but his family and the railway colony itself were a world of diversity and shared life where children from every background played and studied together without walls between them. Later in life, when he faced a serious family crisis, he had difficulty focusing on his studies. It was his mathematics teacher who steadied him, teaching him to manage his emotions, stay grateful, keep going, and Sagar came back from that period to score full marks in the subject, understanding for the first time, from the inside, what a teacher who genuinely cares can do for a student who is breaking. He joined the Teach For Nepal Fellowship, drawn to the idea of working at the basic level where real change starts. Nisha grew up in Belbari, Morang, raised largely by her grandparents while her parents worked, and it was in that quiet, warm household, full of stories, patience, and care, that her character was first formed. She was a disciplined and observant child who dreamed of becoming a social worker, inspired by stories of selfless service, and that early instinct toward helping others never left her, even as her path wound through biology, veterinary medicine, and eventually, a classroom. After completing her schooling in Morang and her +2 in Kathmandu, she crossed into Bangladesh to pursue a Bachelor's in Veterinary Medicine — an act that required adapting to a new country, a different culture, a language barrier in lectures, and the deep disorientation of being far from everyone she knew. She built a routine, sought out her classmates and teachers, and kept going until the unfamiliar became navigable and then, eventually, a source of strength. Sangita grew up studying in a government school where resources were limited, and support was not always guaranteed, and it is precisely that experience that brings her to Teach For Nepal. She does not speak about it with bitterness, but with the particular clarity of someone who understands from the inside what it costs a child to learn in those conditions, and what a difference the right support can make. She is excited about the chance to create the kind of learning environment she herself did not always have — one where students feel confident, where science stops being something to fear, and where a child's background is understood as context, never as a ceiling. Bimal grew up in Mandikhatar, Kathmandu. He went on to complete his Bachelor's in Business Studies and spent two years working. The corporate world tested him in different ways: dismissed as too young, his opinions overlooked, he chose not to react but to work. He refused to trade his ethics for comfort. What finally crystallised his desire for something more meaningful was witnessing the Gen-Z protests and the innocent lives lost which was a moment that left him unable to speak in his office, sitting in sadness and deciding that he had to do something for his country. Bimal comes to Teach For Nepal wanting to build the kind of connections and provide the kind of education he wishes he had received and to prove that quiet, grounded purpose can change a life. He acknowledges the challenges the Fellowship would bring, and will push him out of his comfort zone, which will help him to grow as a person.
