Bimal grew up in Mandikhatar, Kathmandu. He went on to complete his Bachelor's in Business Studies and spent two years working. The corporate world tested him in different ways: dismissed as too young, his opinions overlooked, he chose not to react but to work. He refused to trade his ethics for comfort. What finally crystallised his desire for something more meaningful was witnessing the Gen-Z protests and the innocent lives lost which was a moment that left him unable to speak in his office, sitting in sadness and deciding that he had to do something for his country. Bimal comes to Teach For Nepal wanting to build the kind of connections and provide the kind of education he wishes he had received and to prove that quiet, grounded purpose can change a life. He acknowledges the challenges the Fellowship would bring, and will push him out of his comfort zone, which will help him to grow as a person.
