Education: Bachelor in Hotel Management, Aayaam International College, Purbanchal University
Born and raised in Godawari, a small village, I faced numerous challenges growing up, particularly due to my introverted nature. School was difficult, marred by bullying and a struggle to communicate effectively. Despite these obstacles, I remained disciplined and involved, participating in various activities and winning awards in essay writing and art competitions.
Education played a crucial role in shaping who I am today. I attended Pushpanjali Secondary School in my village, and my determination led me to excel academically despite my introversion. This drive continued as I pursued +2 in Business Management at St. Mary’s College and later a Bachelor’s in Hotel Management at Aayaam International College. My sponsor, Manfred Breneissen, was instrumental in my journey, providing vital support and motivation.
A particularly challenging period was when I first arrived in Kathmandu and stayed at an orphanage. Faced with ill-treatment and hunger due to language barriers, I learned to navigate these difficulties alone. This experience, though harsh, instilled in me resilience and a deep sense of self-reliance. Teach For Nepal (TFN) offers the perfect opportunity for me to combine my desire to help others with my passion for education. The Fellowship is aligned with my goal of contributing positively to rural communities and growing as a leader. I am excited about the possibility of making a meaningful impact on children’s lives and developing my skills further.
In the next 3-4 years, I envision myself actively working to support children and continuing to grow both personally and professionally. My long-term mission is to collaborate on projects focused on children’s welfare and become a strong, independent advocate for those in need. The TFN Fellowship represents a critical step in this journey.
