When I was a kid, I wanted to be a scientist. I loved reading biographies of scientists and any book I could find on the subject. I once took apart a radio in order to find the person inside the radio. Initially I broke a lot of things but later I started practically making the things I read about in the books. Once I made a dc dynamo motor generator for a light bulb, other times I’d stay up late to fix broken radios.

My highest accomplishment till date has been to get a scholarship in my undergraduate level. I went to a community school. The building was old and made up of mud and mortar. There were days when teachers didn’t come to school and the students would just roam around the school compound. I wanted to be productive so I was involved in children’s clubs.

During my first meeting with Teach For Nepal, they spoke about public schools and educational inequity, I felt like they were telling my life story. I knew it then that I wanted to be involved. I am eager to introduce and encourage practical education as well as to improve the way they learn.

Let's stay in touch.
