Education: Bachelor’s of Hotel Management, Institute of Hotel Management and Catering Technology, Dehradun

I have been privileged enough to attend the best schools growing up. I went to India for my schooling, I was a good student, attentive and curious. It made me a favorite amongst the teachers. As a child I was fascinated by wildlife and idolized Steve Irwin. In +2 I took up Science to pursue a career in veterinary science but somewhere along the way the world of hospitality intrigued me. Therefore, I completed my undergrad in hospitality and hotel administration.

The biggest obstacle I had to overcome is starting over in Neal. When I decided to come back to Nepal, I had to start from scratch. I had no idea what I was doing and from where I should begin. For the first two months I felt lost as I had no one to consult with. I constantly thought of going back to the cmfort zone. But I convinced myself to stay saying that the right path is always difficult at first.

As a TFN Fellow I will check every possible aspect that could make the learning process easier and efficient. My long-term goal for the Fellowship is to sustainably transfer the learning and sharing process so that it doesn’t end with the Fellowship. I would like to introduce the broad spectrum of the education available to the students and community.
