Education: Bachelor’s of International Business and Media, Webster University, Thailand

I am the youngest in the family of 13 and basically got whatever I wished for. I never had to worry about my family’s financial status because my parents always fulfilled my wishes as long as I was able to attain good grades. Since I was from an affluent family, I was able to pursue my Bachelor’s in International Business and Media from Webster University in Thailand.

After my bachelor’s I decided to join my father’s business. I have always believed that we should always challenge ourselves everyday but after joining my father in his office, the only challenge I got during my time was from Defense of the Ancients (DotA), a computer-based game. I was looking for paths to avoid boredom and was skimming through the daily newspaper, that is when I stumbled across a notice that said, “What if your first job was changing the nation?” The notice piqued my interest. After finding out about Teach For Nepal’s movement to transform communities and country, I applied right away.

Being a kinesthetic learner, I have always learned best when I discover things by doing them. I want to teach children through physical activities that involve active participation because we all know that sitting in the classroom for an extended amount of time can be stressful. Teaching them by taking them for a stroll, or using flashcard methods, I want to make learning a game, use the discussion to talk about what the students have learned to consolidate their learning.

During my Fellowship, I want to utilize my degree in business and lessons I have learned from my father by creating business opportunities for people living in the community. I want to build a bridge for the members of the community which takes their dream to a reality.

After my Fellowship, I want to utilize the skills I will gain in two years, combined with my education and learning from my father, to fulfill my grandfather’s dream of working for rural employment. I want to build a business platform for people living in rural communities to enhance their livelihood.

Let's stay in touch.
