Teach For Nepal’s Walkathon 2024 aimed to bring these pressing issues to the forefront and advocate for change. Walking together, participants were reminded of the resilience of rural students and the relentless efforts of Teach For Nepal Fellows who work tirelessly to support them.

The event allowed these leaders to walk in the students' shoes—eating their meals, experiencing their educational environment, and learning about the motivations that drive both students and Teach For Nepal Fellows. For the 117 guests, including corporate partners, individual donors, board members, and members of the Alumni community, it was a day to give back, but also to receive invaluable insights into the realities of Nepal’s public education system.

With the pandemic and other challenges urging a reevaluation of training support systems for Fellows, programs are now placing a stronger emphasis on fostering student leadership. In this conference, partners at various stages of their program design journey came together to explore the 'Teaching As Collective Leadership' framework, reflect on program strengths and gaps, enhance training and support, and embrace the power of monitoring, evaluation, and learning (MEL).

Our Fellows have worked to transform the lives of hundreds of students and touched the lives of thousands of community members through their work.

One Child-One Sponsor Project was successful in providing scholarships to 5 students from 5 public schools of Indrawati Rural Municipality. This scholarship will help these students continue their higher education in Lalitpur. The students have joined Advance Academy, Kumaripati.
