Trek For Kids: Charity Challenge to Everest Base Camp

Teach For Nepal invites you to join charity challenge - a life changing trek in the Himalayas. The 2017 “Trek For Kids” campaign offers an opportunity to trek to either the Everest Base Camp (EBC), the foot of the highest peak in the world OR to Langtang Valley, in the shadows of Langtang Himalayan range.
The trip to Everest Base Camp, which involves 12 days of trek through the high Himalayas will bring you up you to 5,545 meters (18,192 ft) through one of the most beautiful sceneries and breathtaking landscape. This challenging, yet a very exhilarating trek in Nepal will take you to the base of the majestic Mount Everest.
The funds raised through “Trek For Kids” charity trek to Everest Base Camp and Langtang Valley Trek will support the work of Teach For Nepal.

How fit do I need to be?
The treks are in high altitude regions, therefore, can be challenging. However, the trek doesn’t require any special climbing skills. If you have been jogging, running or going to the gym or in reasonably physically fit to walk for 6-8 hours a day - you can do the treks. The group will also have a guide and potters to support you.
Except for some warm clothes and good trek boots, you do not need any special equipment.
